Ghana: Easter Week of Adventure

Ghana Paragliding FestivalEvery Easter there is a Paragliding festival in the Hills of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Festivals in Ghana are a time for people to come together and celebrate a harvest, a time of bounty, spiritual deities, and nature. This festival is a little different in some ways than many of Ghana’s traditional festivals but it is still a time of celebration where people come together to share the beauty of their country with a wonderful activity.

On this tour you will explore the eastern coastal region of Ghana, boating in the tributary area of the Volta, bird watching, going to reserves and welcoming villages. You will then head into the hills for the Easter Weekend paragliding festival where you will get views of the countryside that not many people get to experience while gliding through the air with a qualified instructor to keep you safe.

This area is known throughout the world by paragliders as a wonderful place to fly with great views and perfect up drafts and thermals.  As the only paragliding festival in Africa you will not be disappointed if it is your first time flying or your hundredth.

If you are an instructor the organizers of the festival are always looking for extra help, let us know and we can work something out.
